4 Ways to Find Motivation

Do you ever have those days where motivation is nowhere to be found? I sure do! Here are 4 things you can do to spark motivation.

  1. Do a brain dump - it’s not usually as bad as you think. Take a few minutes and write down all the things that are in your brain. Any tasks, events, or thoughts. Just get them out. Then choose the most important things and save the rest for later.

  2. Push one domino over - clear your kitchen counters. Call the one place. Fold the load of laundry on your bed. Doing one thing will usually lead to doing the next thing.

  3. Set up a reward. I’m going to clean up the kitchen and then sit down with a cup of coffee. Do you need to send that email before you make your TJMaxx return? Choose something that you will do when you finish the thing you don’t want to do.

  4. Eat a frog. There is a great book called Eat That Frog. I encourage you to check it out! The concept is to just go ahead and do the thing you’re dreading. Or do that important thing that must be done. Then it’s done! And you can move on!
