5 Ways to Brighten Your Day
Sometimes your day just needs a pick me up! These are 5 quick ways I can brighten my day. Spoiler alert - they are just simple things that I clean.
My car - It is so frustrating to get in your car and find random trash in the cupholders or extra shoes in the backseat. The space you are in can greatly impact your mood. So if you find yourself in your car and it’s a mess, take 2 minutes to stop by a trash can and quickly get the trash out.
My purse - Sometimes I open my purse to pull my wallet out and 4 receipts and a gum wrapper come with it. That is not a great feeling! When I take a few minutes to dump my purse out on the table and add only the things back that belong, it makes me feel a lot more put together!
My kitchen counters - Physical clutter attributes to our mental clutter. Take 5 minutes and clean your kitchen counters off. We walk into our kitchen multiple times a day, so if it’s clear, it’s going to help our minds be clear!
My desk/work space - As I mentioned earlier, your physical space greatly affects your mental space. My removing unnecessary things from my work space, I am definitely going to feel better about finishing up my workday.
My phone notifications - This is a big one. I’m not sure why I just allowed all of those notifications to distract me for so long. But recently I decided that it was over. I have turned off almost every notification on my phone. I don’t need a little red dot to pop up and let me know each time someone comments on an IG post or each time I receive an email. I set aside time to check those apps and there is no need for the notifications. By silencing these from my life, my days are definitely brighter!
